results - monday

Well this weeks results aren't much better than last weeks. I've stayed the exact same weight! In all honesty I've been expecting this to happen for a while. I've spent the last 7 months losing weight at a constant steady rate it had to plateau at some-point.

Kicking It Up

I've decided that now is the time to kick it up again and stop with the lame ass excuses. I'm heading to the supermarket later and I'm going to properly food prep. This isn't something I've done before and I'm pretty sure it's an art form in its own right sooooo I'll let you know how I get on.

I've just been reading another blog about clean eating! I've seriously slipped on the eating chocolate front - So I'm setting myself a mini challenge! For the next 30 days I plan on being 100% chocolate free!!!!! WISH ME LUCK

OH MY DAYS............I'll get to this!
This week was kind of a non starter for me again. I'd lost all motivation and knew I had a lot of running around after the kids to do so couldn't really bring myself to use vital energy at the gym! I did however go 3 times this week and am hitting spin class again in the morning so I've not totally slacked off!

So here's my round up:

Monday - I hit it hard! I did my full weights and cardio routine and loved every single second of it! Then I weighed myself saw that I hadn't lost any weight and became rather dispondant.

Tuesday - NO GYM

Wednesday - Super quick hour session focusing more on ABS

Thursday - NO GYM

Friday - PT session and the reason for the "oh my days" she hit me HARD!!!! Killer hamstring and butt workout that was amazing and has totally given me all my motivation back!!!! Did back and shoulders too which at the time didn't feel that awesome but is now starting to hurt 2-3 hours after the event!

Start a New Habit!

One problem I'm having real problems with is making this clean eating lark a "habit". At the minute it's still really hard work for me and I have to really think about what I'm eating and when I'm eating it.
I have however realised in the last month or so that making it a habit is perhaps going to be harder than I thought - I guess I just wanted it to happen naturally and easily! One major thing I've learnt from my weight loss journey is that nothing is easy!

So how do you create a new habit?

The hardest thing I've found about creating a new habit is not working out how to make it stick it's shedding the guilt associated with failing.
So forget the times you've failed and move forward......keep persevering in a years time you'll wonder why it was so difficult!

Results Monday

Weight Loss and Fitness Plan Results at The Claire Diaries

Humph..........Last week wasn't the greatest week for results in terms of weight loss. In fact I seem to have put on 0.1kg - I'm not sure what that equates to in lbs I'll have to find out.
To say I was annoyed and fed up is an understatement! However I've got to move on and simply make this week better, that is a lot easier said than done.

On another note, yesterday I finally ran/walked the race for life!!!

It was hot and muggy and I didn't take any water round with me, but I actually loved every second of it! I ran more than I walked which was my aim for the day although getting going when there were so many people was quite difficult. 
Needless to say I will be running another one, In fact I'd quite like to do a 10k next April - BRING IT ON!!!!

Pass The Foam Roller

Oh lordy lord. This week has been a bit of a funny one! 
I had planned to hit the gym hard and that is exactly what I did. After slacking off a bit last week I was seriously lacking in motivation and enthusiasm, but I seem to be coming round again.
I've cleaned up my diet a lot - compared to what it has been and picked up the cardio again for a bit!

So this week.......

MONDAY - In preparation for my Race for Life on Sunday I decided it was about time I put in some effort on the treadmill. So I put my trainers on and headed to the gym. Fourty minutes later I'd done 4k with a mixture of running and walking.....I'm hoping I can do this a bit quicker on the actual day. I did get interupted a few times and ended up chatting whilst walking. I'm actually glad I did as otherwise I think it would have dragged.

After my slightly ambitious 4K I went to my very first circuits class! Again I totally loved it - I'm 100% a class kinda girl. I'll be doing a circuits review in a few weeks when I've been to a couple more classes.

TUESDAY - So today I thought I would hit the treadmill again and try do another 4K. I think I had underestimated how sore and tired my legs were. I only managed 3K on the treadmill and then a further 1K on the cross trainer. Then it was Abs time and boy did I smash them hard......My abs and waist are really my new focus.

WEDNESDAY - So I had my PT session today. There isn't much to report from it if I'm honest....It was a good session but much the same as I've been doing for the last few weeks.


FRIDAY - Today I'm heading to the gym for a quick hour before I head to the kids sports day #noexcuses.

Gear It Up

I've totally lost track of the amount of money I've spent on workout gear in the last few months. It doesn't help that I often go to the gym twice a day (for various classes) or that I keep losing weight and everything gets too big on me!
However, I'm hoping now that I might be able to buy some cute kit that fits me for a while before I have to change it. I'm currently wearing a UK size 12/14 top and think it will be an awfully long time before I can squeeze myself into a 10 so might be time to make a bigger investment.............Think I better start being nice to the husband!

This is the second new weekly feature I am going to be doing on this blog. Like I said the other day I need somewhere where I have to be accountable, so by telling you all my weekly weigh in results I'm hoping that will be enough to keep me on track.
I've only got just less than 5 months to go until the big 3-0 and less than five months until I've been doing this for a year! I need a big final push so starting again NOW!

This weeks weigh in.......
After having had a whole week off and eating really really disgustingly crap food I was 100% sure that I would have put on weight, but luckily for me I somehow managed to still lose 2lb!!!!!

Starting Weight: 259lb
Weight Now: 205lb

6lb to go and then I am finally under the 200lb mark..........I'm going in hard this week starting with my first ever circuits class today so hoping by Friday I might be even closer to being out of the 200's????
